Thank you members for ringing the bell during the Salvation Army's 2022 Red Kettle Campaign!
We had a group at Lowe's Foods in Cape Carteret, led by Judy Wilgus, that rang on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays, from Thanksgiving weekend to Christmas Eve. CCRW Member Donna Burgess was made the trek from Merrimon to ring every Friday. Martie Cochran and DeDe Worley both rang multiple times, as well as Stephanie & Matt Broughton, and their nephew Jack. CCRW members Janet Oehl, Barbie LeBrun, and Patty Morey also rang, along with many volunteers from the community, who ring every year. In all, this team collected $13,707.65 to support the Salvation Army's mission in Carteret County.
Our second group, led by Joan Breest, rang at the Hobby Lobby in Morehead City on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Ellen Brent Boone, Mary Boughton, Michele Nix, and Martie Cochran were among the CCRW members that rang at this location. Joan filled in where needed, and rang over 12 times! This group was able to raise $4,821.73 for the Salvation Army, bringing CCRW's grand total to $18,529.38!!
